Objective of the Association

To foster the exchange of ideas and information in the field of laboratory management and to provide a forum for the discussion of topics of common interest by holding regular meetings.

Constitution / Rules of the Association

  • The Association is limited to a maximum of 30 members.
  • Only Laboratory Superintendents/Managers and Administrators employed in Universities will be eligible.
  • Departments of Biochemistry, or Departments of Biological Sciences that carry out Bioscience teaching or research, will be eligible for membership.
  • Only one delegate from any University may attend meetings; should there be two or more members from any particular University, their attendance will be on a rota basis.
  • Each member shall take a turn to organise the meeting at his/her University
  • The host member may invite a personal guest.
  • The host member may invite up to two guests from industry or research institutions. Such guests must be actively involved in laboratory management.
  • A maximum of six guest memberships to be available
